the loss of my 70-200 VR which now has a really bent mounting bracket
I can relate.
My freind dropped my 18-200 on the concrete this weekend....
It wont move from that focal length either
Good thing he already got me a new one, Local dealer had it in stock
GF dropped my 24-70 f/2.8L a while back. Still haven't gotten it repaired / replaced.
lucky for me the glass looks ok, so im hoping it can be repaired
that makes two lenses ive fucked now
I think the sleve on mine just needs to be fixed, and it should be good, but the filter wont come off either
need help digging the hole? I'll come to the brial. After we bury your lens we'll dig another hole for that box shapped Nikon thingy.
damn, after using a 70-200VR, i'd cry if I broke it!
outch, made in thailand
Mine was made in Japan
ohh I cried like a lil bitch and im not afraid to admit it. About an hour before I broke I was told I was going to cover Miss Universe's arrival to PR and also was going to be the ONLY photographer to be able to get real close to her. The 85 1.4 saved the day
Yeah, I remember reading about that...that sucks.
And pics of the 70-200VR please
^^ My offer still stands
^ go suck on a goat's titties
ill take pics of the lens tonight
And that really, really sucks
I got butter fingers when changing a lens when some real good action was happenning
check out the metal pieces, in the first one you can see the bent shit..in the second one the contacts are not aligned..it sucks
OUCH? i hope it's not too expensive to fix it.
That shouldnt be too much to fix?
I got a qoute on the 18-200, 125$ two weeks out. Remove filter and replace sleeve.
I had a shoot in the ocean today...... The whole time in the water I was thinking about this thread and how much I don't want to come in here to post my sad story. But lucky for me no butter fingers today!
I usually crouch on my knees if I ever change out my lenses but it's not often I have to do so.
you didn't pull a Peeta
my wife dropped a lens in the ocean, but it was a while ago and was a quantary mid zoom. I made her "make it up to me" but then replaced with with better anyway.
poor people built yours as opposed to less poor people building mine
nevar let teh womenz touch your camera stuff!!!
I keep forgetting that also, I let my gf (who was modeling) hold my camera, while she was standing in the water while I moved a big driftwood log for a pic. I totally forgot about the "not letting womenz touch camera stuff" till now! I should slap myself.
