Hate on it all you want, but until you actually drive it and compare it to the other convertibles out there that are in the same price range you are just showing your ignorance. Ford did a great job on it. The interior has plenty of hard plastics, but they look good and are well executed. The seats are very, very good. The one I got was a loaded V6, so it had the leather and the upgraded stereo. I didn't spend much time with the radio on, but in that limited time it sounded pretty good.

It has plenty of power for cruising with the top down and it's relatively quiet too.

Overall, it exceeded my expectations. It is now completely understandable to me as to why Ford is cranking them out as fast as possible and why they are selling just as fast.

I'd rock a GT and a GT only.

I drove a V6 earlier this week. It's definitely better than the older V6s, but it's still to big.

I'd never ever ever buy a V6, GT only, but they are better than the older ones at least.

Gas was $2.75 a gallon while I was there. I'll take the V6, thanks.

Also, good luck finding a way to get above 50 mph in Hawaii. They suck at driving fast.

You say that, (I don't know for the new ones) but the old GT and V6 had roughly the same gas mileage.

Why don't you try holding your breath until the Solstice actually is on dealer lots?

    According to MSN Carpoint:

    V6 Convertable:
    19mpg city
    25-28mpg hwy

    V8 Convertable:
    17-18mpg city
    23-25mpg hwy

Hmm... worth it? 1-2mpg for 90HP plus V8 sound ... for me it is.

Well you convinced me, now I just have to demand a V8 from Hertz next time. I'm sure they stock plenty of them...

No problem. If they don't have the V8 I bet they'll give you a nice bra and panty set.
