I've played the first UFC game and a Pride game on PS2 and they both suck.

The best thing I can do is turn on illegal elbows and knees in Fight Night :mamoru:

I don't think it would carry over well into a video-game. Too many variables such as being able to get a flash ko or apply a submission within the first few seconds of gameplay. For it to work it would have to be more pro-wrestling/boxing -esque which I suppose would defeat the purpose.

I think they could do it.

Shit, I wish they make a Kickboxing game too :wtc:

It was fun getting in submissions in the Pride game but sometimes it was just too freaking hard.

They need to send the game to a big developer like EA or THQ now that MMA is at its peak in popularity.

I was thinking the same thing last night.

I remember playing my first UFC game on the ps2 and the matches were never last more than 5 minutes and pissed me off so damn much because it was a fun game but it just didnt go anywhere.

I have played some wrestling games that have MMA rules, such as Fire Pro R where you fight in the Ocatgon and it has a pretty decent list of MMA guys:

    Hirotaka Yokoi
    Josh Dempsey
    Gerard Gordeau
    Tito Ortiz
    Heath Herring
    Francisco Filho
    Meiko Satomura
    Ayako Hamada (old)
    Mayumi Ozaki
    Devil Masami
    Mima Shimoda
    Etsuko Mita
    Kaori Nakayama
    Emi Motokawa
    Mariko Yoshida
    Chaparita ASARI
    Megumi Kudo

Theres a few more unlockables like Gracie and Shamrock.

I'm planning on checking out the newest UFC game for the XBOX, I just hope the matches last longer than 3 mintues or so.

Fire Pro R? I cant find any info on it. Is that the correct name? :eek3:

Looks like UFC Tapout 2 isn't any better than the first one :hs:

I was gonna go pick it up and copy it then re-sell it but none of the game stores in my area have it in stock :wtc:

Its an import game for the ps2, they also have it for the gameboy and I believe it has the MMA in there too but do not be expecting much from it, while its better than any other ufc game, Fire pro focuses more on wrestling, but its cool as shit breaking Stone Cold's arm in the middle of the octagon.

here are some screenshots of the newest release, Fire Pro R.

best idea would be to make it a bit like tekken but with mma move sets

a realistic mma game just isn't going to work imo.

I think it'd be too damn hard to make a control system that works :hs:

That fire pro game seems kinda cool.

I may go on a hunt for that UFC game over the weekend
