Just purchased it via craigslist. $1200 for a D300 with less than 600 shutter actuations, came with unfilled out warantee card, extra battery (generic :greddy:) and SanDisk Extremem IV 8GB CF card :bigthumb:.

Yea, I jumped on it. There was another D300 for sale for $900 when I asked for a JPEG so I can check shutter actuation he sold it to someone else. :wtc::wtc:

So I paid extra $300 for Low shutter actuation, full 5 yr warrantee and an Extreme IV 8GB.

It took me full 3 years since getting my D50 to post pictures up on OTAP. I'll try to be quicker with the D300. :mamoru:

I'll most likely post some pictures in once I take some interesting pictures. Right now if I did post picture it'll be just bunch of test shots nothing really interesting.

What I noticed so far in past 2 days of shooting is that lenses that were tack sharp on my D50 is not tack sharp on my D300. So I need to play around with the AF fine tune features.

Also Lightroom is nailing the WB under flourescent light at Auto setting with the D300. With D50 that was all over the place. So I save some time and effort on PP.

Looks like it's severely front focusing on almost all of my lenses except for my 80-200. They are fixable via AF fine tuning option but I'm contemplating sending this to Nikon to have them look at it.

I have a question about AF fine tuning. If I set the Default value at +20 (which is the body setting correct?) and saved setting at +20. Do they stack to become +40?
