Ive had this really rusty 50 gallon drum with an equally rusty hammer sitting beside my metal shop for probably more than two years now, and i just noticed it this morning. i thought it looked cool so i grabbed a few shots of it. i think this one came out the best:

i think the silver print i made in the darkroom today looks much better, as the grain is more noticable [enlarged to 14x11]. any thoughts, good/bad?

I like the high ISO with the lots of grain for industrial shots

i'd like to see color on something that shows heavy rust. but play with it a bit to make the rust stand out.

ill have to redo it in color sometime. lol, i doubt that hammer is going anywhere. as for that shot tho, i took it with Kodak Tri-X 400 which expired about 7 years ago. i then developed it in straight D76. i wish i could scan the 14x11, cuz my scanner doesn't do that grain any justice
