    parallel cable?

i saw that they make male usb -> male usb cords, so would that work as well?

then once i get the cord, what settings do i change in windows?

my laptop is being a bitch and wont let me execute anything so i need to copy some iso's and about 500mb of pictures to another hard drive before formatting this.

    thanks for the help

    You have a few options...

They do make a USB cable that can allow you to transfer data between machines or you can go to CompUsa and for about $6 you can buy an adapter that will allow you to hook up a laptop hard drive to a PC.

Do both machines have a NIC? You can also use a crossover cable to transfer data.

yeah, a CAT5 crossover cable would be easier and faster than USB.
