What the hell would you use a grappling hook for  Serious question, I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

I think a knife would be a much more practical gift.

We're getting multiple items here, I just need more ideas. So which hook would you think would be best suited for scaling tall buildings and snagging terrorists pants??

Get one that shoots out of a gun so he can swing across buildings and crash through windows to roundhouse the shit out of plotting terrorists.

He prob wont even shoot his weapon, everything is done with the IA in Iraq now. Cant even do anything without the Iraqi govt approval.

Is he even on EOD? Cause if there is a trip wire there not going to throw a grappling hook and pull the trip wire :hsugh: There going to call EOD to have them disarm the IED

    so the small one?

Also another note, he can take extremely large items as well, he'll have his own conex box full of shit. So I'm thinking build a roman ballista and shoot the grappling hooks out of that.

he's high enough up that he will train a guy to tell a guy to tell another guy to tell an iraqui guy to round house a terrorist in the throat. But that doesn't mean he won't need a sword and shit.

actually he's not 100% sure what he'll be doing, could be pulling out ied's with a bayonet or he could be as he likes to say resurfacing dirt roads for the 100th time rather than paving them once

I think a braveheart style sword would be a great addition to him out in the field. I don't know how many of my .mil friends have came home and bought swords to carry with them as CCW items, shit be handy bro.

I think Cheaper than Dirt is having a sale on them right now, actually. Stock him up and tell him to share the wealth.

Get him something that he can use/eat. Shitload of beef jerkey for one

with a grapeling hook you can snag other people's porno very stealthily, though I should load up a terrabyte hard drive with pron and just leave it in a EE bag or something at his house

Has to get approval from his CO to do that and than he has to get his armorer to install it. So most likely wont happen

I was going to send a buddy a stock, but he said the same thing. Shit sucks. He had a shitty M4 stock that was half broken, and he had to tape to stay open.

Actually, I've only sent a nice blade once over there, and it was lost within a month. After that, I got a deal on a bunch of Ken Onion Kershaws and sent them to peeps. Most were lost/broken as well. Point being, don't send blades that can't be replaced easily. Besides the stock, I've actually only been asked for one gun item, and that was a Aimpoint + mount. Same guy I sent the nice knife (Benchmade) to broke his after a vehicle lid slammed down on it. His supply seargent was a fucking turd, and didn't order hardly anything for his troops. Buddy had to scam irons off someone else because his rifle didn't have any. Apparently the guy got in a bunch of shit after they returned, as he was using .mil money to buy him and his friend Rolex's.

Most of the stuff I sent over was food, magazines, baby wipes, clothing (same guy didn't have any winter gear for most of his term either), coke/Mt Dew, pen drives will all kinds of shit loaded on them, pictures of back home, etc. More novelty/personal items really. Snuck alcohol over there once or twice, but I don't reccommend that. Apparently you get in a lot of shit for it, and you (the sender) can even catch some of it.
