I don't have a password, it has a CD-ROM, so I can't book with the OSX dvd I have. Any other solutions? It was my sisters and she gave it to me but doesn't remember the password and I don't want to call her cause she's a tramp assed bitch. Thanks!

Download the torrent for multiple CD's rather than the DVD

I didn't steal it. She gave it to me, we got into a fight and she wants it back. I'm assuming she doesn't care to have it back anymore but who knows....I was tempted to upgrade it.

I'm not sure what version of the OS it has....*taking forever to boot*....

    10.1.5 :o

It might be able to run 10.4, but your best bet is 10.3.9

I don't think any of the ibook g3's can run Tiger. The only G3 laptop that can is the Pismo.

I'll have to go ahead and disagree with that. My lombard ran Tiger. 333 Mhz G3 + 384 MB RAM.

Plus, G3 iBooks range up to 900 Mhz, so they could definitely run Tiger

oh ok, so it's a clamshell ibook. it has firewire, and 366 Mhz, so if you've got >=384 MB of ram, you should be ok.

    Good times tonight.

Went to a friends house and we tried a few things to get OS X installed. Basically used my MBP as a f/w drive and tried a couple of installs that way, no dice. Then we just took his Pismo pb and did a disk copy from his laptop (OS X) to mine. Booted it up and it shit itself :o

    Oh well :)

My first apple was an iBook G3 600MHz w/ combo drive and 640mb ram, and 10.4 ran fine on it (well, considering the age, atleast) :dunno:

I'm still not sure why that didn't work :) Oh, and I have an idea. I think if we hook the ibook back up in target disc mode and then 'bless' the partition from my pismo, it might work :) Just an idea.

If you're up for coming out tonight maybe we can try it.

...I don't know why I just don't respond to you on AIM with this hahah.

Yes but this clamshell was so free. Honestly, I'd be fine with it having the same specs but be in some 10 year old girl panty pink color. It's something to fuck around with, my MBP is for the real stuff.
