I need to copyright a piece of software.

    There are tons of services out there that charge anywhere from $10.00 to $95.00 to do this. From what I understand, the software needs to be on a fixed media. Meaning, it was to be on a hard drive, CD, or some physical location. It can't be theory or ideas, it has to exist in some form. Basically, I'm under the impression that there is some sort of copyright office where you simply mail your paper work too. :dunno:

    If you wrote it you own the intellectual property rights and can sue if someone copies it...

    cheap copyright?

    take the stuff, burn it to cd, mail cd to self, never open till court date ;)
