block my young brother from visiting certain specific websites. Something where i can type in what needs to be blocked, but doesn't filter other stuff. Any recommendations? I can't find anything

do you have a router? most of them allow filtering on url's, i know the dlink 604 has it and i image most others do as well, if u wanted to be really mean block out anything with a '.' in it :p but that should do the trick, software i do not know

There are thousands of software titles out there that will do this for you. Netnanny is one that comes to mind.

    Google is your friend.

Yep, NetNanny, CyberPatrol, etc... All sorts of keep-your-kids-away-from-porn software out there.

Come to think of it, that's right. But then he goes to his favorite porn site, discovers it's blocked, and downloads Netscape ;)
