Ive been down in the dumps lately. Past week and a half I have not really been working out. Every time I think about working out I just kind of go eh.. whats the point? Test is low and I have not been able to bring my lifts back up to where they were, even with an improved diet high in protein. its like im looking at a downward sloping graph and its frustrating as all hell.

Should I keep forcing myself to go to the gym seeing no positive results or just wait another week or two for the hCG shots and the potential flood of test that will accompany it?

I feel like im trying to move a pile of sand with tweezers.

When was the last time you took a break from lifting? Maybe you just need time off to eat what you want and rest.

i had taken a 4 to 5 month break from lifting (i finally figured out that my lack of motivation was hormone related) but i finally managed to regather myself and i had been going strong for the past couple of months.

Just take time off until you get what you need.

You're not competing, you're not making money from the gym/your body, you're not planning a future/career in the field..... so if you're not happy then why the fuck do it?

Get your shit and see how you feel then.

I started lifting 10 months ago. Since then I've lost 65 lbs and gained a confidence that I never thought I would have had in me. This is thanks to F & N.

Buy some vitamin D3, see if that helps you out.

And get the sand outta your vagina.

any ideas on what I should do? on starting strength and bill starr it told me what to lift and how much to lift so I had structure. this was good. (even though with a good diet the results were overall disappointing)

i have been off of starting strength for 2 weeks now and i just feel like im drifting around aimlessly.

    This, if anything.

Just don't go in there with expectations or standards of what you think you should accomplish.

Go in for a workout and do whatever you want and enjoy it a bit.
The last thing you want is to start resenting going to the gym.

yeah.. I feel like a worthless fuck if im not lifting though..

true, losing weight is awesome and fn is awesome. i get angry at myself everyday for taking the stupid fucking superdrol when my hormones were perfect and now i threw everything out of whack.

wtf does vit d3 do and how do i dose

it would be 2 weeks if i took another week off.

thats another problem i have. if i dont have structure in my work out i do a few lifts.. then get frustrated and leave.

You don't feel like going to the gym, but when people tell you not to go you say that you need to.

So then man up and go. Not sure what you want here?

It could be your mental level set. Don't think even steroids will help with that. Any routine will get tedious and boring after awhile but this game is about consistency and longevity. It's not away going to feel like the first 1 or 2 weeks of a new routine and it will get hard and you will come up with millions of valid and invalid excuses. As I heard it before, this game isn't a sprint but rather a marathon.

    :bowrofl::bowrofl:

I don't know how you guys follows routines so strictly.

I hate that. I like going into the gym and "feeling out" what I exercises I want to do that day and what weight I want to use for a given body part. Perhaps that's holding me back though... I dunno.

"D3 is a fat soluble vitamin and excess amounts can be stored in the body’s soft tissue. There are two forms of the D vitamin: ergo calciferol and it is found in fortified milk, herring, mackerel, tuna, sardines, eggs, cereals and baked goods. The second form is cholecalciferol that is produced by the body when it is in the sun. The best source of vitamin D3 is the sunlight.
The typical supplemental dose is no more than 600 IU (international units) unless approved by a physician.

    Benefits Of Vitamin D3

Vitamin D promotes healthy teeth and bones in kids. It also promotes calcium absorption, bone mass, building, the prevention of bone loss, and it protects against muscle weakness. It lowers the risk of colon, breast, and prostate cancers. Immune system functioning is improved, auto immune diseases can be prevented, and rheumatoid arthritis is improved with vitamin D.

Vitamin D3 prevents/treats rickets, post menopausal osteoporosis. It also prevents falls and fractures in those at risk for osteoporosis, corticosteroid induced osteoporosis, and osteomalacia. The vitamin also treats hypoglycemia, bone disorders, psoriasis, squamous cell cancers, vitiligo, and scleroderma. Multiple Sclerosis can be treated and the vitamin prevents the development of Type 1 diabetes.

    Vitamin D3 Deficiencies

Deficiencies of D3 in children are indicated by the presence of rickets, a disease that deforms the bones and teeth. In adults, deficiencies are indicated by the presence of osteomalacia, osteoporosis, type 1 diabetes, muscle and bone pain, as well as certain cancers. An overdose can lead to birth defects, coma, and even death"

I started taking 4,000 IU a day in the wintertime, when I'm not so motivated and more depressed than normal. Since then, I feel so much more motivated to do things and my energy levels are so much better.
