i'm handed this asp page....and its coded in a weird style.

based on the parameter, it loads a diff part of the page.

for example. "blah.asp?p=1" loads a diff page than "blah.asp?p=2"

all the code for the pages is stored in blah.asp.

is there a way to cleanly separate all the asp and all the html used when p=2 without going through manually and trying to figure it out? maybe a tool or something? this is a pain....

This is a classic issue with ASP (and depending on the coding style, PHP, Perl, and JSP and many others). The problem you've noticed is there's no clean break between script code and HTML code.

The approach I've always taken is use a text editor that does syntax highlighting for ASP and HTML (such as Edit+, but there's many out there). At least with key words highlighted in different colors, HTML and ASP code should pop out and be a bit easier to read. You'll still have to go through the mess and figure out what code does what...
