Just bought a new Samsung mp3 Player but my stupid Mac and iTunes will not recognize it.

It came with Media Player but that will not work on my stupid Mac.

Should I return this mp3 player and go buy an iPod or is there software that will make it talk to my Mac?

What model is it? There are probably OSX drivers somewhere.

What model is what? The mp3 player or Mac?

The Mac is an iBook G3 running the latest OS.

Well, I called Samsung and they said there is just no way that an Apple product will talk to my new Samsung mp3 player.

I am not happy with Apple right now.....they only want people to buy fucking iPods.

I own a couple iPods, but I've also got a Samsung XM Radio/MP3 Player and I can drag and copy songs to the disk and it works fine :dunno: so if anything, it's Samsung. Just because you can't use that with iTunes doesn't mean it's Apples fault that Samsung developed a product for PC's. Apple has no control over who developes products for what platform.

On an eerily similar note, I recently discovered that my 89 Audi's I5 turbo engine won't run on E85 fuel. God damn you, Audi :madfawk:

Go fuck your father dillhole I didn't say anything regarding not working on a particular platform.

That is what I had planned on doing but the computer will not even recognize it as anything.

Yea, Samsung told me if I bought an older one it would work but these new ones do not. :dunno:

Well, after a brief search on Samsung's website, it states that the supported applications are Samsung Media Studio, and XP & over Windows Media Player 10. And windows media 10 isn't for Macs.

And another bit of info from Samsung's website is this quote:

All of our current MP3 Players are not compatible with the MP4 format that iTunes uses for music. The formats that our current MP3 Player support are MP3, WMA, Secure WMA, etc. For more information as to which formats your MP3 Player supports, please refer to your Owner's Manual.

    All of this is from:
    http://erms.samsungusa.com/customer/sea/jsp/faqs/faqs_view.jsp?PG_ID=3&AT_ID=18233&PROD_SUB_ID=46&PROD_ID=705

So maybe 3 minutes of research would have solved your little problem.

So on that note, why would I fuck my father, when I've been blowing loads on your mother's face all day long?:dunno:

:mamoru: Also, for future reference, typically products list the platforms / OS's / applications that they are compatible with, not the other way around.

    I are not an eThug.

Your assumption that I bought it from the Samsung website and that I did actuall research at the Samsung website makes me laugh.

So, you expect me to believe that every time you buy a little toy you go to the manufacturers website and read all of the literature about it?

Well, this very intelligent, married with children 28 year old detects a bit of ethuggery from the guy who just a few posts up claimed he is not an e-thug.

I guess it hurts people of minute intelligence levels to be proven what a total moron they are. Someone who throws money away on something that costs a couple hundred dollars without first doing a little research, is a moron in my book. And said moron makes it even worse when they go on a public forum to vent about their own stupidity. And said moron also makes it worse when they lash out against people for showing them what a complete and total r-tard they are.

By the way, if you're having trouble proccessing that, you are the "said moron".

    Fucking moron.

:mamoru: Now the moron is sending me threatening PMs.

Can we get an IP Ban here? Any moron can read the thread and see he is out of line and not following the rules for a sub forum.

So, I went back through the whole thread. Who exactly is out of line??

On post #10 I simply displayed your lack of ability to check for compatibility.

On post #13 you told me to "fuck my father"

On post #14 I showed where you could have retrieved information so as to make an informed purchase. I also informed you of what I've been doing to your mother all day. Notice, I have yet to direct any foul language towards you.

On post #16 you simply proved to the world that you are, in fact, a moron.

On post #21 I reaffirmed the fact that you are a moron.

On post #22 You went off spouting more obscenities and expletives then I care to quote.

And on post #23 I proved, yet again, you are a moron. Oops, I let the f-bomb slip, which isn't against the rules.

So again I ask you...who exactly is out of line?? Hmmmmmm????

    :noes: :madfawk:

Yea, new Samsung players use "MTP" Media Transport Protocol which is Windows Media Player 10/11 only.

If the unit supported the widely adopted USB Mass Storage Protocol, it would have worked with your MP3s.
