If you normally wear a W like I do, you probably need an EE in Danners.

I just purchased new green jungle boots. Last pair I will ever own since ALTAMA moved their production to China. Having the American flag in my boots > worthless crap made in China.

I still have my pair from basic.
I take real good care of my boots.
    They need new soles though.
My wife bought me a pair, and I am not sure how to break the leather in properly.

Based on what I've read about the boots from SF guys or whoever else wearing them they're comfy but really only something for garisson or an enviroment where they won't get wet. They tend to fall apart fairly easily and are noisey when it is wet outside. If they were being given them they would wear them but they wouldn't spend their own money on them.

Take a look at these Bates M-9's. They've been getting good reviews from what i've read.

There are various ways. One would be to get some saddle soap and rub in there then wear them. Others will say to get the boot soaking wet then wear them around till they dry. If you just wear them they'll break in but obvioulsy do not go rucking or do PT in them.

Tried these on once.... my God they are so comfy. I hate the standard USMC boots- I don't think they authorize anything other than what we're really issued. I should bring it up to someone and see what they say.

I own a pair of these. I put them on at the Clothing and Sales and they felt like I had been wearing them for months. They are extremely comfy and durable. I have had them about 6-8 months now and I have zero complaints. Lots of people in my area wear them and everyone I have talked to loves them!
