Stupid Wawanesa doesn't take motorcycle insurance with my car.

AAA charges me $249/yr but I want it cheaper. My bike is a 1986 Suzuki Savage so it's not anything special. Just something I can putt-putt around in.

I want full coverage comp/collision. State minimum (CA).

    Any recommendations? :wiggle:

Just curious, since it's not that new, why the full coverage?
I could understand if you have a loan out on it.

Mainly for protection for myself. If I get into an accident, I don't want to pay the medical bills. I could get only collision/liability but that doesn't cover me. Let's face it, motorcycle accidents are NOT pretty. I could care less about the bike if it gets totalled. Like you said, it's not new. So I'll just get another one.

AAA does not offer medical coverage for motorcycles.

Their comprehensive coverage is just to cover the bike, like if something happened and it fell over in the parking lot.

+1 I found State Farm to be cheaper than anything else and they have good coverage

That's seems like a lot for that bike.
    I paid 109 for a marauder vz800, and I'm still 19

did I read that right? $44/MONTH?

    Is that full-year, so it's 44x12 = $528/year?

It's a DRZ 400. 400cc single, 33hp. A friend bought one, and when he added it to his policy with his CBR1000 his insurance went DOWN.

Because that's what it costs. What's your beef with it? I'm now confused.

Its really high. My rate is around $100/yr for a slightly smaller dual sport.

you seemed to be saying "It's a DRZ 400. 400cc single, 33hp." like that somehow justifies the $44/month price. I ride a 1450cc v-twin with 95hp and pay $220/YEAR.....he's riding literally less than half that and is paying more than double.

44 a month for a 400cc enduro is outrageous unless you are under 25, never took a MSF course and have a shitty driving record.

My perception is way off because I hold a ton of coverage.
