I haven't been getting enough protein in my diet. Any suggestions?

I don't understand a lot of the powders/supplements..etc out there really other than foods which are high in protein (eggs, meats, veggies, soy milk..etc)

I've heard Whey Protein being brought up here and there.

What's a good protein powder to use?

dozen large eggs at my local drug store for 99 cents. even figure 5g of protein each, that's not bad.
i eat atleast 1-2 hard boiled egg salads a day for an extra amount. i was getting kinda burnt on cottage cheese.

carb countdown. nonfat has 70cals and 12g protein, 3g carbs. the 2% chocolate has 100cals, 4.5g fat. it's like a shake all by itself. cal for cal it provides the same or more protein as a shake with milk.

Since you are dieting, I would recommend eating food as opposed to just putting powder in your oatmeal though. I know I get a lot more satiety from eating some chicken breasts or something. Try some chicken breast melted with fat free cheese on top, or some egg white omelettes with cheese and ketchup. :-x

I eat chicken breast :hs: I started getting tired of it so I should add some cheese b/c I didn't know how else to prepare it without the added fat :mamoru:

:yum: omelettes sound yummy! (without the ketchup ew :o)- picante sauce, yes ;)

    thanks for the suggestions.

I've had salmon for the past 3 days :o

Just get some ON Whey so that you don't have to work too hard to find protein on short notice. 1 scoop + 8oz of water is 110 cal, 23g protein. It's great.

i would recommend using www.bulknutrition.com to order your stuff, but yes, my recommendation is getting a jug of optimum nutrition whey protein. It's cheap, but it's whey protein which is extremely high quality protein and 1 scoop is 23g of protein, which is a pretty decent amount. So, take that during your day when you need the extra protein and that should help you get to your target protein.
