Ok, I've been seeing this girl, who has really got me back into metal. But right now I am only really into a certain kind. Two songs I really really like right now are The End Of Heartache-Killswitch Engage and Drones-Fear Factory. I like the heavier kind of slower stuff, that doesn't sound sloppy. I am really looking to find a lot more stuff like the song Drones. Any help would be cool

  2. definately try some great metal like Opeth, or Iced Earth

You need to pick up the 2 latest Isis cd's, un-fawking-believable. Ever time I listen to them I am just simply amazed by their songs!

Originally they were a sludge band, on there last two albums however they evolved there sound into something quite different. Most people compare them to neurosis, but there pretty original, kinda like explosions in the sky style post rock crossed with doom/sludge metal.

Personally, I think the new one, Panopticon, is there best effort, but Oceanic (there previous one) is also really really good.

If you dig Isis you should definately check out Neurosis and Cult of luna.

Check out mastodon or old man gloom. Old Man Gloom has members from Isis, Converge, and Cave In, which are all good bands.

In Flames, Five Pointe O, Chimara...get the older Killswitch Engage CD, (think its called "Alive or Just Barely Breathing) that album is awesome.
