I need help getting enough CALCIUM.

    The problem is that I pretty much hate all dairy products. The only ones I like are ice cream, flavored yogurt, and very chocolate milk. I buy the OJ with Calcium in it, but I don't know how well that works. I'm always worried that supplemental calcium isn't going to be absorbed well.

    Any suggestions? It seems that the only naturally-occuring calcium I ingest requires a lot of sugar. I heard that Brocolli can be a good source, is this true?

    I take supplements..600mg calcium, although I drink a bit of milk a day too..

    Never heard that about supplemental calcium?? Is that correct or are you paranoid? :big grin:

    Why wouldn't supplemental calcium tablet absorb well?

    as long as you take a calcium supp w/ food it should absorb fine? :dunno:

    Get calcium citrate, it's more bioavailable than calcium carbonate and the citrate helps prevent kidney stones

    i thing the body can only absord like 1g of calcium a day, im not 110% on that but im pretty sure.

    I believe 2500mg is the max a day..?

    Dammit, I just bought a new bottle today and its carbonate.. :grr:
