OK, I'm looking to get what should be the last tripod I need for at least a very long time. I'm sick of shitty flimsy pods with 3 way video heads that wiggle too easily, and bend in a heartbeat. I need something light, strong, and ballheaded, preferably around 300 dollars total. I hate spending more than that, but if it's actually justifiable I might consider it. I like the articulating center column, but it's not a necessity. Someone PLEASE help me? :(

well?!?!/!/1 :hyper: now I need 250 more dollars... DAMNIT!

New advice: hashy's kit lens (giving me a max width of 27mm instead of the 42 I'm stuck with now) or this tripod, or a lot of whoring myself out to afford both?

Depends how far you're carrying it. If it's not far then it's nice, if you have to lug it around all the time for a couple hours then it's a bitch. I bought the strap which was an extra $30  and it's still a bitch to walk around with for a while. Tripod and Head probably weighs like 15-20 lbs. Luckily I don't need my tripod all the time so it works for me. :)
