should i get one of the old ones like sd400 or new ones like sd700 or sd650
what do you recommend?
is there an SD650?
I'd get an SD450, SD550, or SD630.. or SD700 if the extra cost wouldn't mean much to you
I've used both a 630 and a 700. I like my 700 because of the IS. It doesn't really have much else over the 600 and 630 though other than the IS and a different lense. If you want a really big LCD, then get a 630.
I have a digital rebel and a SD400. The SD models are awesome! It fits right in my pocket!
I have had a SD400 for over a year now and absolutely love it. It is amazingly capable for such a small camera.
I've been looking into getting a SD450, but I've read people complaining how fragile the LCD was for the older ones (200, 300, 400). Does anyone know if Canon's addressed this issue?
Also, I've read about the E18 error...Is this a common problem?
Those two issues are the only ones that are keeping me from buying the camera
I personally know three owners of SD500s, one SD550, one SD450, one SD400, one S500, two S400s, two S110s
and I've owned an SD500 myself..
that's 12 digital elphs and not a single one has had a problem with the LCD being "fragile"
also not one experienced the E18 error
so that's my personal experience.
FWIW, I've ran into that problem. Costco warranty ftw
