alarm experts please help me out. My lincoln navigator was broken into using a slim jim and they stole my HU and subs. Now I am trying to get one of the best alarm systems out there within reason. What can alarms do to prevent thieves from stealing stuff in my car? How much?

my friend who works at circuit city mobile electronics recommended me viper/python/clifford alarms. one with pager alert, sensors, and whatnot. basically the upper model alarms. but remember, its more of an install rather than equipment for alarms...just like how car audio equipment works.

Are there any statistics that show cars with alarms get broken into less?

I got an audiovox alarm with remote start and paging, never had my car broken into ( it has a brite ass blue light that you can see from down the street that blinks ) but it's nice to know that if my keychain pages me i can go beat the fucking shit out of whoever messed with my car

I plan to get the AutoPage alarm... but mostly for the remote start feature. Local shop recommended this alarm over all the ones they carried.

DEI ftw. Viper, Clifford, and Python are all Responder 2ways, and Hornet, Automate, Avital, Valet are 2.66trillion codes. (434 remotes) I've got an Avital 4300 and added a Responder kit to it with two 2way remotes.
