i need the tacticool handguards to mount the front sight on. I don't have iron sights and that's dumb.

Whats your price range? What do you want out of it? Light weight? Just the looks? Strength?

so you have a low profile gas block and want a rail system to cover that, then put irons on? correct?

I want iron sights. I don't care if I have the rail or not, but I thought I would have to have something to mount it on since I don't have the front sight already on the gun.

It looks like you have enough rail on the gas block for a flip up front sight.

Isn't that a rail on your gas block to mount a sight to?

I'd say you can put a flip up sight on your gas block rail.

    forget the front sight buis...

Take the money and apply it to a real scope. A 1x4 varable so you can take advantage of your rifles accuracy at distance.

I had assumed given a fsb is aligned on the barrel and the two milled as a unit. I imagine most gun smiths would just tell you to buy a new FSB, I of course could be wrong.

Or wait a bit. Didn't the ARMS guy say they were going to make that for a railed block as well?

The Daniel Defense rails are hands down the best on the market.

The M4 rails are the lightest rails on the market with an aluminum barrel nut, the LITE rails are the lightest rails on the market with a steel barrel nut.

Both free float the barrel, and aren't difficult to install for a person with so-so mechanical skills, aka, can change spark plugs/oil/oil filters on japanese cars.

Larue is also very popular, with a build in QD mount and is similiar to the DD M4 rail. DD/Larue are the best rails, and cost $200-$350 based on the length you need. DD M4 rails are $265 new.
