I'm looking to upgrade phones soon and wanted to know what people thought of a verizon phone that does the following:

ability to notify me of a new email from gmail/yahoo/thunderbird
    qwerty keyboard
    decent html browser
ability to open pdf/msoffice email attachments

I'd like a Curve but can't justify the $30/month blackberry plan but is that my only option?

I've heard the Dare is a nice phone but it seems something a teenager would have, which I'm not. I might switch carriers if need be but enjoy the coverage verizon has in my area.

You could buy my Motorola Q or Treo 700w? Both have everything you listed. Just throwing the option out there.

Or you could wait for the new Blackberry Thunder/Storm that is full touchscreen with touch qwerty. Rumors are saying it will be out Oct. 13th

I just can't seem to get used to the touchscreen, it just isn't for me. Maybe they have E71 n0kia, it can receive emails from anywhere, qwerty keyboard and pdf

im on my third voyager :ugh2:...just came in the mail yesterday. the firmware is much better than the previous two. it finally has menu scrolls that are getting (distantly...) close to the iphone :mamoru:

my first one was slow as shit and kept freezing. it eventually started power cycling itself (turning on and off every 2 minutes by itself). then my second one i broke the inside screen on it cuz it had the SAME problems as the first one. its demise was the fact that it stopped RECIEVING text mssgs....i could send fine, but couldnt receive

    i <3 LG [/sarcasm]
    i <3 VZW [/sarcasm]

when this one dies im upgrading to a BB Curve

    Wirelessly posted via wap.offtopic.com (htc touch : Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.1.11355/546; U; en))

I suggest you switch to sprint
