I have a p4 2.53, 1 gig of ram, a radeon 9800 pro, two big hard drives, and several pci cards. My case has poor circulation, and the air being blown out by the fans is HOT, even though I have two fans pulling air in and two blowing air out, and I have round IDE cables and fairly good cable management. Can anyone suggest a case with especially good circulation for <$80 or so, or somewhere I can look?

Antec sonata is about all you'll get that's good in that price range.

why do you think it's overheating? If it's blowing hot air then it's moving it away from the cpu. are you having issues?

Yeah, and antec sonata is a good case for the $$, just make sure to get a fan in the front and in the back. IIRC that case supports 120mm fans which is a good thing.

There aren't any noticable problems, I guess. But my processor runs at 44C/111F at no load, and about 57C/135F playing CS:S. That seems hot, and it seems like I could get more performance out of what is already my system's bottleneck if I cooled it down a bit more.

    your price? :x:

It's BTX... not really all too unique, and it doesn't cool any better than a regular case unless you have a BTX mobo, which is optimized for the design. And it's aerocool :greddy:

A sweet BTX case is the Silverstone TJ-06, but it still wont do anything for you unless you have a BTX mobo...

It doesn't look like a BTX motherboard would fit in either of the two cases... and:

If you don't know what BTX is, then I just can't help you.

btw, aero cool took the design from silverstone, which owns the patent :mamoru:

Its not BTX, just a flipped around ATX case. If it were BTX the CPU would still be at the top.

I considered buying a similar case, but I didnt feel like dropping $120 for a case without a PSU.

Thank you! A sign I'm not losing my sanity.

Edit: The aero one isn't quite as expensive, and I already have a nice power supply, so I might go for it. Even if aero is ":greddy:", it looks like a nice case.

The Aerocool Spiral, the Silverstone Tenjin6, and the Enermax CS-718B, are 100% exactly the same internally. I am pretty sure they are all created by the same company, they all have the same 'patented wind tunnel'.
