    Hey fellas

The swim seasons starting and i need something in the morning practice to fill me, but not make my throw up, and to give me nutrition. And it has to be a liquid or shake of some sort because eating at 4 int he morning just doesnt work for me. And i would like for it to be a hommemade concoction because i cant afford and dont want to buy those other drinks that probly wont give me as much of what i need as a hommade thing will

    thanks for your help

Whey protein shake and a bowl of oatmeal with some kind of dried fruit. My breakfast before morning training sessions. Oatmeal and whey are pretty easy on the stomach. Whey and oatmeal is cheaper in the long run than making super smoothies with lots of fruits and berries which will cause you to bonk, because of the high fructose content.

Milk/chocolate milk + powdered milk or whey protein. Or some kind of smoothie : milk + tofu or yogurt + fruits. At 4 am I guess a lot of people would be drinkin rum & coke though :o

i like a scoop and a half of whey, 12oz milk, and 2 tbsp of peanut butter.

It tastes good and should have over 500 cals with fat, protein, and carbs. The carbs are mostly from milk though so you'll wana get some complex carbs from another source.

I liked making smoothies at home a few semesters ago. Just buy a frozen bag of mixed fruit at your local grocery store, through em in teh blender, put some tap water in, and some whey if you would like. BLEND, and presto!

everything i've heard about swimming has been water before and food after. i dont think you want something heavy, even a shake, in your stomach while you're trying to swim.
