$300 max. Needs to have 5.1 surround. Any suggestions? I don't need anything fancy, just the surround and good quality. I might go up to $400 if the receiver is dope.

i currently have that reciever in my bedroom doing X-Box duty, and some mild movie duty. It isnt the best sounding reciever in the world...but it does DTS, DolbyDigital/AC3/Linear PCM, and Dolby Proligic II. All at decent volume levels, and with reasonable clarity. Its not going to fill a large room, but a small room application would be perfect. It has some basic video switching, and is easy to use. Plus, best of all, tis $100 below your budget. Give it a look.

Buck-O, your thread doesn't work, can you tell me which model it is?

Shikado- My bad, bro, didn't mean to, but u have more responses than me, so I think your thread is doing better.
