I was going to buy this

    http://www.lumapower.com/products/m1r.html

But I can't find it for sale anywhere so can someone point me to a place that has it or recommend another similar light?

It needs to have a pretty good throw and the brighter the better, but I also dont want to spend a fortune on a light.

I ordered the Cree that keeps being suggested. I think USPS tried to deliver it yesterday but it wouldn't fit in my mailbox. Have to go pick it up today.
At $40 it shouldn't break the bank.

    I'm a convert to LED.
My standard flashlights suffer impact kills.

I don't know what your needs are for a light, but I have a Nuwai QIII that is a GREAT little LED flashlight for a great price (IIRC there were several people in WMD that had bought them and were pleased with them as well). They have an anodized aluminum case, Luxeon III LED (no... NOT a Q5 like you were looking at... but still very bright, and very white), water resistant, rear end click-cap, nice tight clip, etc... use a CR123A battery and last a looooong time. I've had mine for years, and never had a problem with it. Best part is, you can get them for under $30.

Actually, just checked the site you listed earlier, and they have them now for $19.95 if you don't mind titanium or green color, instead of black.

At that price, I'm tepmted to grab a couple more of them! :eek3:

im actually wanting to check out the olight m20 warrior they have coming out pretty soon, looks like an affordable booger that'll temporarly make you see green..

i've been set on saving my milk money for the blackhawk gladius night ops because one of my instructors has one and it has proven tough and pretty freakin cool. mainly like the strobe feature, i recon it'll come in handy during stupid houston traffic. lol.
