Specs with atleast 1.2ghz (around 1.5 or higher pref though)
    256-512 ram
    some sort of agp card
    a decent board.

Doesnt need to come with a case (probably will), hard drive, cdrom or floppy. Just this stuff. Does anyone know of any places to buy them besides ebay?

Geeks.com sells barebones kits, you can pick up the rest of the system for a couple hundred bucks.

Christ. Can't you get them parts for dirt cheap on ebay? Or does even ebay not like Canada?

I built a more powerful computer than what you're asking for about two years ago, for €300 which is just over US$380. (didn't use ebay, boards.ie and the buy & sel lare/were more popular and better)

You should be able to get suitable 2nd hand parts for dirt cheap by now...

Unless you need it built, but that's sure to cost more.

I cant seem to find a good collection of parts, shipping to canada always costs more and we get dinged a percentage when it crosses the border too

I may be interested but 300 still seems a bit high. Is the 512 ddr? or sd?

What does the board have for onboard? How many pci slots available?

If you can find out what teh board is, and how big the 2 hdd's are, you may have a buyer

i am open to bargaining of the price so that is not a problem

the board has it's usual CPU lot, 1 agp slot, 3 memory slots and 6 pci slots. it looks like this board http://www.pcbuyerbeware.co.uk/MSIK7n2-LBoard.jpg

The 2 HDs i am willing to include are an IBM HD, 30 GB that comes to about 28.6GB and a WD HD, 120GB that comes to about 111GB.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask
