I wonder how many will actually take the bait though. May end up getting just shitty defective stuff.

I have thought about doing my own gun buyback program. Set up a table in the walmart parking lot and offer to dispose of weapons for 50 gift certs :)

Might be more legal to just go to a buyback and stand next to the line, and pick out the choice models.

I don't think that it would necessarily be illegal. The catch would be that you'd have to get permission of the property owner. That and if you said that you were going to destroy them that you'd have to destroy them. Now if you just said that you were doing a gun buyback program to take guns off the streets or something ridiculous like that then I don't see how it would be a problem. You're just telling people that you'll pay them $50 for any gun that they bring you :mamoru:.

Id rather stand next to a buyback line. Then I get to say. Ooooh, a 1911, Okay Ill give you $100 for that.

And then deny anyone thats trying to sell you a pos .22 handgun that retails for ~$100.

Because anyone dumb enough to bring in a gun for $50-$100 will definately sell it to you for a little more. Plus you are guaranteed to have a larger crowd to pick over if its being run by the sherriffs dept. More reputable than a guy running out of the back of a van in a Walmart parking lot.
