    So....I did it.

Turns out that the outputs on the PocketWizard reciever are load sensitive and were pissing me off while I sat there with the oscilliscope on them trying to figure out what in the hell was going on. I had the little thing completly apart sitting on the work bench thinking it was dead. :o:o:o

Anyway...works great. I just converted a hot shoe adapter into a "hot shoe to PocketWizard" adapter.

Most places on the net charge $19.99US for one of these things...other places charge upwards of $40!

$16 hot shoe adapter and a 2 dollar 1/8" mono audio jack ftw.

It would be FTL when you are out shooting and your homemade cord stops working.

half volt positive pulses from the camera......~5-6 volt negative pulses from the PocketWizard. Both trigger the flash.

    WAT!

load sensitive? its probably just the ass end of an optocoupler which means you'll need to apply a trigger voltage like its an open collector. how the hell is an oscilloscope going to help you with that or making a piece of figure 8 soldered to plugs?

I wanted to make sure that I had the polarity correct. I also wanted to see the output levels from both the camera and the PocketWizard. I'm a little apprehenzive about throwing random pulses at fairly expensive equipment.

Turns out that it doesn't matter all that much.
