green = money
Wouldn't you like to know
do you have a page or something where we can browse your photos?
www.ceronephotography.com <-- portfolio with link to smugmug
http://joeycerone.smugmug.com/galleries <-- all galleries, tons and tons of photos available for purchase
http://flickr.com/photos/joeycerone <-- recently started, my favorite few pics from every photography outing. kinda like a little blog
Who buys them?
Am considering a SmugMug account, your thoughts on it?
These were print orders & digital downloads from the 2 sorority events I shot in the past week.
I love it, it's unlimited storage & bandwidth, set your own prices, great way to share online or with family and friends too.
Plus it's a safe backup of all your photos just in case.
If you sign up you can save money by using my referral code, and it gives me a discount on my renewal too
use code: PTNL30m5QgmTy
Will keep this bookmarked in case I do. Thanks
I just started using them recently myself and so far I'm pretty happy with it.
You have a lot of customizeability with the Pro level account, and if you enter the name of the company from where you're moving your hosting you can get a 50% discount on the first year. So if you're moving from Photobucket or Flickr or any of those it's 75 bucks for a year!
Then you can purchase a domain name through GoDaddy and SmugMug and have it redirect to SmugMug and you'll have your own website.
SmugMug handles all the sales, you don't have to worry about anything. They do the sales and process cards and deal with the customers etc. It's a pretty good setup.
Some of the customization is easy to do/learn, but some of it obviously takes a little more time and effort. I'm still really trying to get my site where I want it. I've seen things I like, but without the CSS code (and even with it) I have no earthly fucking clue what to do.
Do they do teh printing as well? How is it? decent or crap? I use PrintRoom now and im not really liking their setup.
they offer prints through both BayPhoto and EZPrints.
You just choose who you want to be your printer, and then set the prices.
Thanks for the discount.
added you as a friend
Does smugmug let you drop ship? i.e. you sell a print to someone, but not through smugmug's site - can you just go on it and pay for the print and have it shipped straight to them?
you can log in and pay for it, at cost, and I believe you can ship to whatever address you want.
Yup if they want to give you cash, you can just ship it to their address from your account, and you only pay cost.
which actually works better as then SM doesn't take their cut either
my: How do you know who is who?
Is there an OT SmugMug community group?
I know there's a flickr group
