None of their new F-150 commercials refer to the Titan as a competitor. They always use Dodge and Chevy. Come'on, Ford! Take the Titan out! Prove all the magazines wrong. Prove that you are better than the Titan as well as the Dodge and Chevy.

Ford: Maybe if we stand still, it won't attack us.

Why give free advertising to a competitor that has no sales? They aren't as dumb in marketing as someone I can think of. ;)

maybe because they are not a threat yet. Dodge and Chevy are major sellers in the US. How many Titans have sold allready you think? 200-300 or so. Just a number I'm pulling out of my ass but no since wasting a advertising budget on something that is no threat yet.

the big three tends to throw rocks at there competition in the truck comercials.nissan sales numbers will never match gm and ford in full size trucks.they are merely a minor distraction, and a very ugly one at that.

Exactly, the Titan is just a speck on the map so why waste energy targeting it?

Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge are in a class above the Titan, that's why. :p

about as popular as the Tundra. You people don't realize most of the truck buyer crowd are very product loyal. Their father owned the brand truck and they will usually do the same. Most people who buy used trucks will buy what they are used too.

I should be in charge of Nissans marketing. By the time I was through, i'd have every hill billy reconsidering their next truck purchase.

    December 2003 Truck Sales:
    2,072 Titans
    84,657 F-Series, up 16% from last Decemeber 2002.
77,527 Chevrolet Full Size Pickups. Down almost 12%.
(I believe the Chevrolet number includes the GMC brand trucks also... they graph is confusing and I don't want to look at it more.)

    9,204 Tundra. Up 12.3%

exactly. Until the titan takes up a sizeable portion of the market share, ford would be stupid to call out the titan in their advertising. All that would do is fan sales over nissan's way because ford buyers would stop by a nissan dealer to see what the hype is about. If they liked what they saw better than they liked the F150, ford loses a sale. On ford's part, this is called smart business.

at the point where the titan's sales threaten the foothold ford has on the market, THEN they need to call it out.
