A&P i love candid street photography

    i wish i was anywhere near as good as this guy

    im still afraid to take photos of people because they'll think im creepy :o

    especially at 135mm, he must have been very close to his subjects

    Those were all taken with a 40D and 135mm f/2L


    I wonder if I could do something similar with a 70-200 2.8L

    wtf using a telephoto.
    i just ran a roll of kodachrome and used a 35mm lens. i shoot mostly 7-8 feet away and it seems to work for me.
    My technique is to prefocus the lens, and meter ahead of time. the shot takes less than a second to frame and shoot.
    using a telephoto would be unthinkable for me.

    Pretty tough to go unnoticed with a 200/2. The 135L on a 40D is a 216/2 and about 1/4th the size.

    im sure out of those images that photog got a lot of people harassing him about having their pictures taken. we dont know that he could have been there for at least an hour and shot over 500 frames just to get those lol
