I like it when windows update randomly turns shit off

    fucking hrs wasted trying to figure out my IIS wasn't running my .net apps anymore

    fuckers.

    Meh. Microsoft targets its updates at Joe Idiot, who doesn't know how his computer works and who only uses it to pay bills and play video games. They expect people who are running servers and whatnot to READ the descriptions of what their patches do.

    Yep. I read every single update that comes my way. Doesn't matter if it has a half dozen individual patches in it.

    The updates said nothing about disabling the fucking web extension

    all services were running, the web extension was changed to "prohibiited" for whatever stupid reason :mad:

    Once you've had to rebuild a system because an update was published with flaws you learn that waiting a week or 5 may not be such a bad idea afterall.

    Hell yes.

    I had to rebuild my mother's computer because she installed an update and it corrupted the Registry. Ever since, she's been fanatical about backing up her computer.
