How does underside of wrist compare to other areas? I'm considering getting my first tattoo there, but I've heard it's ridiculously more painful than normal.

Is this true? Should I pick a different spot for my first?

I have a high pain tolerance, though.

The bottom sides of my wrist, close to my hand (where all the tendons and shit are) was one of the most painful spots I have had tattooed.

Anywhere with a lot of tendons or bones below it is going to hurt. The wrist is bad, but not that bad, there are much worse places. I know a few girls who've had shit done on their wrists and they were fine for the most part.

dude what the fuck is the difference between first tattoo or 40th? are you afraid that the pain will keep you from getting other tattoos? the pain on your wrists will be just as bad 10 years from now as it would be today... if you want the tattoo go get it fucking done.

you don't think he could have said that to know he doesn't know much about whatever pain is involved? why can't someone be curious about getting a permanent mark on their body?

I really dont see why he would have to go extra deep with any color than he would with black....but my wrist hurt more than my feet anyway. My wrist only took 15ish minutes while my foot was 2 hours.

:werd: the the first tattoo is the same as the 50th.

its the first minute of the tattoo compared to the 5th hour of a session that you should be comparing

You sure you wanna do your wrist? Some people won't hire because of that, and it will need to be covered up at other jobs. Not knocking people that have it done, just pointing it out.

What I want done is simply the digits "101010" (42 in binary) the placement and the size I want should be easily covered by a watch band. I have a friend with a similarly-sized tattoo on the top of his wrist and a watch covers it nicely.

Thinking of getting my next one there for the same reason. All my other ones can be hidden, and I know this one will be as well because a watch will cover it.

Curious about the pain also but I've had my hipbone, and the back of my neck done, so it shouldn't be too bad comparatively. :noes:
