You mean you have a big white spot from some starch? Lots of water works for that. As for the fabric, take the edge of a knife and "shave" it off.

I've heard that boiling salt water works.

    1) Wash BDU's
    2) Pull them out of the washer, turn them inside out, hang them up, spray them down with your favorite starch.
    3) Let dry (overnight, preferrably)
    4) Once dry, turn them right-side in and iron using a spray bottle (of water) to help re-activate the starch. Don't use too much water, but just a light mist.
    5) Hang up and look shit-hot.

Some people didn't bother back then, and still don't now. I've always ironed my uniform, I used to wash and iron almost daily when I was on the flightline, now it's closer to weekly since I'm at the MOC.

I thought you meant startch and burnt cloth off the BDUs..... Get the iron cleaner stick, follow the directions, and don't do it over your ironing board, do it over the sink or something. Use the whole thing, it's cheap and works well.
