    What is happening?
Feels like a strain just under my outer ass cheek, towards the thigh.
Circled where it hurts. Has happened on both sides. Feels exactly like a bruise when I press on it. Anyone familiar with this? And how can I prevent it. It's quite annoying...but I'm usually good after a few days. But today, it hurts a lot more.

Have you tried varying your stance and/or how deep you go?

I never vary. Always slightly wider than shoulder...and same depth.

Try a wider stance with toes pointed outwards slight more.
