i had a free 7 day pass to a new 24 hour fitness near me. biggest mistake of my life.

they only had two squat racks and they were the worst pieces of shit ive seen. the full power rack was smaller than usual. i tried doing OH squats in it but the top of the rack was so low that the bar grazed the two top beams:rofl:

the other rack was just a POS. the plates were the octagonal shaped ones but they had a shitty plastic coating:rofl:

everything about this weight room was utter shit

cliffs: stay away from 24 hour fitness

I workout at 24 hour fitness. While I agree that the equipment isn't world-class for powerlifting or bodybuilding, it's more than enough for me and 100% of the people who workout there.

My school gym has 1 squat rack. I've only seen 2 dudes other than me squat though.

Everyone else does fucking curls in it.

    Such a cocksucker move.

LAFitness is one of the few good commercial gyms, each one has like 2-3 squat racks and 3 smith machines.

I got a 7 day trial thing to a new local gym. I'm going to go try it out.

I hate doing OH squats in the power rack. I always end up bumping the cage.

I don't mind my 24... I got a pretty good deal too, $450 for the first 3 years up front, $29/yr after that, cancel any time.

that sounds like my deal, except i'm paying $24/year after the 3 years

had to pay for 1.5 years right away, but got 3 years of membership, then the $24 thing kicks in

That sounds like every 24 I've been to around here. I haven't been to 24 in months but I still have membership. :hs:
