You guys got my ass in line and had me start doing DLs again a while back. Even though I'm far from a badass, I sure felt like one today. Chalking up and doing 3 sets of heavy DLs (for me anyway) in a university gym full of guys doing bench press machine with gloves on sure makes me feel much brolier than I actually am. Btw, I just matched my alltime highest body weight... 185 after 3 months of realtively clean bulking (from a little under 170lbs). I was planning on starting cutting within a couple weeks, but now I think I'm going to bulk for another 2-3 months before cutting. :eek3:

nothing makes you feel more badass than heavy deadlifts

especially when you're holding your 1rm and looking around the room :coolugh:

Deadlifts always make me feel awesome, even if the weight i'm moving is nothing special.

whats considered a good amount of weight to do on deadlifts? I just started and am doing 315x5 for 3 sets, is that a decent amount or is that not much weight for DL's?

to the origional poster, I work out at a university gym so I know exactly what you're talking about. The whole gym is filled with pussies that don't know what an intense workout is if you kick them in the ass.
