I'm the webmaster for our unit's site, and the CO wanted to put an updated welcome message that referred to our unit's BoS as an example of a good leader.

I emailed him saying I couldn't do it unless he changed that para. Am I on the shit list for promotions now? :wtc: :noes:

nope, spending the summer doing research at DRDC Valcartier (http://www.valcartier.drdc-rddc.gc.ca/e/home_e.asp?page=1&lang=e) because I need an engineering internship to graduate from college next year. then its gagetown and kingston... and after that who knows.

did you end up turning to the dark side ? :noes:

Seems like a  place to work. I'll be in Val all summer too.

Meh, dark side infantry wasn't for me, decided I'd try to comission in another trade that might pay off more in the future after the board.

    :big grin:

Yeah, we exchanged a couple of emails since I posted this thread. He doesn't seem to pissed off, but subtly ordered me to put it up anyways, so I did after he explained why and such. :hsugh:

Heh... the other site I spend much time on has BOS as part of their daily wording. It means Ban On Sight there, for those who are unwelcome forever. That may apply in this guy's case as well, though. :p

Seems a little self-serving to want the unit's website to boldly declare what a great leader the CO is. Humility ain't quite his strong suite, I'm guessing? When's the next CO rotation due?

He was referring to the other guy being a great leader.

In a year and a few months, but overall he's a great CO, just oversees major flaws in this guy who's messed up morale in one of our platoons on numerous occasions.

To the Ban on Sight reference: Yeah, it does apply. :bigthumb: He's banned on sight by most people at the unit. :mamoru:

You did your job. If I was your boss I would put a check in the "has a backbone" box and remember that down the read.
