The second one looks more focused on the rope and the third the focus seems to be on the blanket he's laying on

i know the rope is focused, but I wouldn't say the eyes were not focused. Same for the blanket.

I've always had Canon. Before this as well.

    :hsugh:

I laugh because I wonder how well you shot when you first started.

The dog shots are alright. Focus does seem a bit iffy. Also you are having some white balance issues, cuz the dog is slightly different colored in each shot. Most noticable in the first shot, but you can tell the red rug is different colors in the last two shots. And no offense, but ugly dog. =p

Both of those are awesome landscapes. However 90% of the skill required to take an awesome landscape shot, doesn't take place in the camera. It's all about where you are and if you're there to see it.

I don't even SEE awesome sunsets like those, because I don't live near a beach and I don't "explore" as much as I should heh. If I would simply get out of the house more often, I might come across such great sites. =p

I don't really know what point I'm trying to make here. All I've done is make myself want to go outside and take more pics.

thanks. yeah, they are pretty tough. To be honest, I like my pictures better than that sunset picture...

    It's just a sunset and it's a still object... wouldn't be too hard. :o

But I certainly wouldn't crap on it like that. Oh wellz, to each it's own.
