I watched all four that I rented last night :mamoru:

...Initial D is fucking tits

    Some thoughts:

--The "tricked out" graphics TokyoPop includes really, really suck ass. I much preferred the "classic import" graphics.

--The TokyoPop extras suck. Outtakes of bad dubbing? Aging stoner who doesn't even care about the sightseeing advice of the Mt Akina locals? :hsugh:

--I like the music of the live action better. Also, Anthony Wong's heightened portrayal of drunkenness is very much more class...I don't know if it could be sustained over an entire series, but it definitely added depth to the abridged film :hsughr:

    --Itsuki....wtflips

i agree overall. It was cool to see the actual re-enactments of drifting, but the anime walks over the film.

I've finished watching 4th stage. Does anyone know if they're gonna make more. I ejaculate everytime I watch it.

Also, I think they're making initial D live action part 2.

5th stage, if it ever comes is a long ways away, the anime is currently caught up to the anime, (they skipped alot of stuff in the manga) so there won't be any new material anytime soon. They problably will make more since the popularity of ID just keeps growing.

Tokyopop is the only US release. :hs: I got some old bootlegs off ebay, but they have zero extras and semi-engrish translations. :hs:

You can get the decent bootleg off of Amazon. I bought the 1st stage from a shop, and then my brother bought Stages 1 & 2, Impact Blue and the 3rd stage. So, I just copied what I didn't have.

Tokyo Pop version FTL. I would rather watch the live action movie WAY before I would watch the TP version of the series.
