:mamoru: I don't know! I actually haven't been taking him with me too often anymore because he constantly stops to pee or sniff and runs at a faster pace than I can really handle right now, which is why I guess I couldn't do the whole 3 miles without stopping.

I went alone tonight and stayed at a steady pace, I changed my gate a bit and I got back and my shins didn't even hurt!

Absolutely. Once I can do the 3 miles at a faster pace without stopping, I'll up the mileage again.

how long is 5k? I ran a 3 mile race with 18:06 last year in CC. I always get lost when they use k's and miles'. I just run.

FUnny thing about that, I ran the fastest race, without stretching, of my life back in high school cause I fell asleep while the girls ran. Good thing my coach kicked me awake about 15 sec before the race started, from then on I was never allowed to warm up or stretch.

I heard its not good to stretch before you run anyway. :dunno: I stretch for maybe 1 or 2 minutes before and then like 10-20 minutes after.

I honestly dont know, Ive left the distance running world far behind. All I know is if my coach saw me stretching I had to do a shit ton of Fart-Leks(sp?)
