The dynamic range is great but the image quality from the 40D and 50D is more than enough for most. If you have good lenses and can afford it, why not.

it won't take any better pictures because you buy it.

what glass do you own? what kind of lighting equipment? Gear Bags? Cards?

There's a lot more that will benefit your pictures than dropping more money on a camera that wont improve your pictures.

If you own shit glass, it'd be like owning a Ferrari and putting the cheapest Kumhos tires on it.... just wouldn't be right. You have a great camera, start buying good glass. Bodies go out of style, glass doesn't.

Don't do it. Spend the $ on glass!!

Am i the only one who's happy i spent the first 2 yrs of shooting with a POS P&S? Buying the newest and most expensive equipment without knowing what you're doing first (not directed towards you) is pointless. At the end of the day if you're going to get dissatisfied with photography and quit its just more $ lost.

16-35 on a crop body isn't anything special. (great on a FF body, though)

    Better gear = better photographer!!!!!!!!

Stop being a trendy faggot and stop spending money and actually try LEARNING HOW TO TAKE PICTURES.

Didn't you recently post some BMW pics in the main forum where most of the shots had part of the subjects cut off? Full frame isn't the answer here, just zoom out or take a couple of steps back and your crop sensor can fit as many BMWs as you'd like in the frame. :bowrofl:

You should rock the 40 until you gain a little more knowledge about what you're doing. Unless you find a FF for next to nothing, there is ZERO reason why you can't continue to learn and grow with the 40D.

However, saying you own a 5DII does sound cooler on the internet, so it's your call. :hsugh:
