I really wanted a DSLR but the only one i like is the 20D and I can't justify spending that kind of money while I'm still in school..SO I got the S2 which is a heck of an upgrade from my SD300 :coold:

Any of you guys have one? Maybe yall feeling like sharing some pics taken with one? :x:

Why do you like the S2 IS but not something like a (much more affordable) D70? Why only 20D?

    Wait....huh?

I do like the D70 but I prefer the 20D over it :dunno:

And the only reason I got the S2IS is because I can't afford either of the DSLRs right now :hsugh:

Can you post some pics you've taken with it?

I'm basically in the same boat in that I don't want to splurge on the dslr yet. I was gonna try and hold off until the S3 IS comes out but the S2 looks good and has dropped in $.

Keep in mind, I've played with this camera for maybe an hour tops so I still have to learn all the settings.

I'll never use it, just wanted to show how far it COULD zoom ;)

I'm happy with my moon shot considering I didn't use a tripod :o

Those were all manual settings but I still am trying to get used to the settings as you can see.

The S3 is coming out soon but it will be at least $500....If you're going to spend that kinda money I would get the G3 or a Pro 1.

Otherwise take advantage of the dropping price like I did and get the S2 IS. I think you can still get it at beachcamera.com for like $347 or so. This gives you room for rechargable batteries, a case, and some lens accessories :coold:

btw, for batteries, I got some Duracell 2400mah 15 minute rechargables today at wal-mart for like $28
