I saw a converted missile silo on one of those extreme home shows. The fuckers bought it at auction for $40 grand :eek4: :wtf:. If I could find something like that for 40 gs I'd sell my house and be living 50 feet underground in the boonies in a heartbeat. Tonight was the first time I saw that house on the website. Paranoid survivalist crew ftw :big grin:.

:werd: the mountainside house is nice but the silo is the ultimate SHTF home, zombies, bird flu, terrorists, nukes, your safe :bigthumb:

the couple i saw, seemed to be more "hippie recyclists" than "paranoid survivalists". but you can bet your last mag of ammo that i would go the survival route.

I remember watching this show a couple years ago about this guy's company that retrofits homes (of celebrities and high profile people) to make them more secure. He installed bulletproof glass for the windows with steel shutters that came down behind them. And since the master bedroom was upstairs, he installed bulletproof plating under the master bed incase someone shot up at it from downstairs. He also did a whole bunch of other stuff, like build panic rooms. I cannot remember what that show was called. dammit.

He never justifies why the Russians would randomly attack America though.

Even without the survivalist aspect to it, that's still an awesome house.
