The Garmin Nuvi units are a top unit. Easy to use, and seem to be accurate in the directions etc.. I sell 'em at work, and they're a great unit

I just got the c330 on sale at Walmart for $150, it's a fairly basic unit but has really good reviews.

Someone help me chose a GPS to buy as a gift.
I'm torn between TomTom One and Garmin Nuvi 200.

They want pretty much a basic gps system. I like that the TomTom is not only cheaper and seems to have more features such as:
    - multiple destination routing
    - advance planning

Maybe, I already answered my own question, but everyone seems to say Garmin > *.

Those two features aren't necessary, but I think they're both very useful.

or if you can suggest me something similar to these...im all ears.

I personally have the nuvi 200. I love it. Basic GPS system but it is very nice. Very accurate and very simple to use. Screen is AWSOME. Very bright and crisp. My brother used to work at circuit city and he said the the tomtoms are very overrated. All the advertising makes people think they are a godsend. Well they are not. I would reccomend the nuvi. Ya it doesnt' have those features but I think the nuvi will be a better choice. Overall wise.

keep in mind that the TomTom One 3rd Edition is only $149. It's a steal of a deal!

It took streetpilot c300 back to walmart and bought it again for $120, awesome deal. It's has 2005 maps, and the 2008 is $70 extra. I just took it to new mexico for a week and would have been totally lost without it. Great investment.
