with a flaming liberal obama voter that gave me half a beej last night. only half because with the amount of spirits I consumed, yeah it just wasn't going to happen. :hsd:

but thats not the point. this was in a diner that I didn't realize served alcohol. I saw that they served alcohol in the menu (like a full fucking bar..at a diner) and still didn't think a thing of it. and then a county cop walked in. (sheriffs deputy?)

and you know its funny, just the sight of the cop makes us think about the situation we're in and if we're in any way in the wrong. and I realized I was.

nothing happened of course. the concealed glock 19 was not seen by anyone, that I'm aware. and ate my meal, paid for the ho's and left without incident.

and since its 9mm and not .40 I didn't have to take it out to show it to everyone and explain that I was professional enough for it and then deal with the subsequent emergency room visit and physical rehabilitation therapy.

anyway this was the first time I carried where I should not have been.

everyone share the first time they did something similar.

gunna be a good year ngs

oddly enough, it makes you worry whether you're doing anything illegal, and it doesn't make you feel any safer...

search the restaurant you want to go to, see if they have a "restaurant" license

if not you are good to go.

Wegmans is technically a restaurant and you must OC there, they have a restaruant ABC license to serve alcohol.

That varies from state to state. In Texas, I think you can carry in places that make < 50% of their income from alcohol. In New Mexico, you can't carry any place that is licensed to sell alcohol, whether they actually serve it or not.

I think you can carry here in a place that serves alcohol.. its just not advised. something like an automatic felony if you use it or something.

16 or 17 at High School. Forgot to take out my .357 after a dove hunting trip. Loaded with rat shot because of all the rattlers outside of the Abilene area. Nearly shit myself when I realized it was still in the console.

Texas... car on school grounds is subject to search at any time just like a locker I believe. That was over 20 years ago and I still feel like an idiot for doing it. Odds of getting caught were nil since I was the only one that knew about it and wasn't generally a fuckup (except for this), but the paranoia factor was very high the rest of the day.

Let me rephrase... subject to search with probable cause. Sorry I worded that wrong. Someone saying I had a pistol in there would have given the reason.

Like I said, paranoid even though there was no one else that knew it was in there.

But no, schools get to trump the 4th amendment in order to maintain a safe environment. Search warrant is not necessary to search a car on school grounds. They do have to have probably cause though.
