Old gruff trainer who yells a lot and expects to only have to say things to you once. Hes like 65 and he can jump rope 10 times better than me.

After we did an hour of conditioning he had us do very slow motion jabs for 20 minutes and yelled and made fun of us till everything was perfect. Then more conditioning. One of the other relatively new guys asked him if he could hit the bag afterwards, and right away the old guy said "You'll hit the bag when I TELL YOU TO." :mamoru:

He was pretty nice to me though, I only got talked down to once.

Anyway, you can't beat the price at $5 a month.

Definetley more like Clint, with all the talking down to you if you mess up. Overall seems like a cool guy.

Ya thats what I think I'm really gonna like about this gym. Coach pays attention to the tiniest details, and I'll be doing slow motion jabs 5x a week untill he decides I have it down perfectly and decides its time to move on.

beautiful! micro-management gets such a bad rap, but i absolutely love it when it comes to anything athletic.
i remember in basketball, having the coach beat my ass to make sure i kept my elbow in and had proper shot follow-through.

now in bjj, making it a huge priority to keep your weight on your opponent and not give them any space.

maybe he just has a superiority complex and wants to yell at people and all the $5 just goes towards space rent.

Its Chicago Park District, the city pays for most of it. Theres about 15 places like this in Chicago.
