if only i had access to the forward the ports
Word this blows.... Slowly i'm getting closer and closer to being kicked off Oink.
200kbs upload ftw
200kbs per file or combined??
I "bought" cs3 off OiNK so quickly, was in between a project and was up and running in the same hour
i just need to get in on some ratio boosters...i've got a .645 ratio, but i want power user status
I need to find a way to set up Azureus on another computer at home to start getting my ratio up
I haven't used Oink in forever...but it seems like they're the only tracker with CS3.

As you can see, I don't give a fuck about my Demonoid ratio. However, I think I'll get banned if I download much more.
in for later
There are a couple options that you can choose from. If you have a PC, you can set up uTorrent on it. The latest betas support WebUI, which allows you to access and control it through the internet. You can also set up a VNC on said machine, and access it remotely. I use a combination of both to initiate and control torrents from my home PC from my MBP.
I actually have a PC here and could use uTorrent. could you link me to more information about the WebUI?
can someone hook me up w/ an oink invite maybe?
Well it's not gonna do you any good if the PC is accessing the internet through a school network. It would have to be somewhere else where you can forward the ports and provide it with good connectivity. Otherwise, your Mac would work fine. It's all about the connection. If you can find a way to give it an internet connection, NOT through the school, and forward the ports, then you could access / control it remotely from your school connection with another computer
yeah sorry i didnt realize that before. i actually installed the WebUI and tried it out and it seems pretty cool, so im going to see if I can have my brother run it on his computer at home
As long as he can forward his ports, you should be golden. Just copy the torrents you've already downloaded to his PC and seed away. You can even add torrents remotely through the WebUI, by saving the torrent file to the PC you're using, then add them from the local computer through the web interface
